WORDS AND THEIR MEANING

Translation

Unlike interpreting, translation is only done in writing. It involves transposing a text from a source language to a target language. Whether it’s finding the right word for a slogan or the precise word for a legal text, translation requires mastery of various language registers.

Proof-reading

Proofreading requires a great deal of rigour as it involves detecting typographical, grammatical, or spelling errors. This takes time so it is important to allow a reasonable amount of time for the proof-reader.
